Crediton, situated eight miles north west of Exeter, is a thriving market town in Devon with a population of around 6000 people. Reputed to have been the birthplace of St Boniface, in Saxon times Crediton was a centre of Christianity and the cathedral city of Devon, before the rise of Exeter.
