St Blazey
St Blazey is a small town in the
Restormel district of Cornwall, population around 6000. The parish,
having been known as Landreath until the 16th century, is
named after St Blaise. It serves largely to house
workers in St Austell. St Blazey railway station was closed to the
public in the nineteen twenties but it is sometimes used for goods traffic and the adjacent
repair shed is still used to service trains and wagons.
